Premium .ca domains for sale at auction

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

The n49 network continues to grow and we now help almost 500,000 Canadians every month to find local businesses.

n49 has been fortunate enough to acquire a large number of premium generic .ca domain names since we began our journey to become a great Canadian media company. We have always felt that it is our responsibility to develop great content and community at these web addresses. Our directories are built to utilize the domain names so one can go directly to say dining.ca or limos.ca for example. The domains also help us attract businesses and even provide unique solutions such as free websites like azevedo.kitchens.ca.

Now, for the first time ever, we will be selling a select number of premium generic .ca domain names. Throughout the month of June we will sell several domains beginning with 4 names to be auctioned at the ccTLD Targeted Traffic show in Amsterdam on Thursday June 4th.

This live auction will begin at 10 AM Eastern standard time. There are 4 .ca domains on the live list all with supper low reserve prices:

  1. Imports.ca
  2. Spanish.ca
  3. Stores.ca
  4. Lesbians.ca

The full list of all domains at the live auction are found here:

Final order of costs in reverse domain name hijacking case

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

This past April the first Canadian finding of reverse domain name hijacking was decided by a CIRA panel concerning FORSALE.CA.  The panel asked the Registrant to submit its actual costs in the proceeding.

After reviewing this information the panel has awarded the Registrant the maximum amount permitted of $5000 to defray costs.
